With Family in Spokane

We are just back from a week in Washington with the Duffy clan.
We had a great visit and it was very nice to be all together for Thanksgiving.

Lots of love to go around!

Snow in Spokane...Lots!

Thanksgiving Turkeys Set the Table

Grandma let Maren select place setting for each guest, set the table and make place cards.
She created a lovely table!
Sadie added her own personal touch by placing a marshmallow at each place. Very classy.

In lieu of a kids' table, we had a "stuffie" table this year for the inanimate objects.
The turkeys who set the table.

Pop-Pop's Turkey Farm

Pop-Pop Duffy has his own turkey colony in the front yard. I think it has something to do with the corn he feeds them. Maren took over the daily feeding job and spent much of the trip trying to "tame" the turkeys. many a time she'd coming running in having spied a tom with a beard. By the end of the visit she was a regular " turkey whisperer."

This was the view right out the dining room window on Thanksgiving Day.
If they only knew what was going on inside!

Sled Dog

Mush, mush!
Ya, ya!

Meet Ivy

Maren made Ivy this weekend.
She used one of David's old socks and stuffed her with toilet paper.

She sewed on her hair for a dread-like look.

The girl can sew!

Now That's A Lovely Line-Up!

Hike to the Swing

We hiked up to the creek this AM where someone hung a rope swing.
We all took a turn.

And Charlie found super stick.

The Big 4-0

I think he had a great day.
Gear for a snowy winter ahead, hiking with the family and a celebration with friends.
Happy Birthday Duffy.
