We threw everything we thought we could use into the new travel trailer and drove to the campground at Hope. What a lovely campground! Of course the weather was amazing- a perfect weekend for tent camping! Who wanted to be in the trailer on such a lovely day?

Maren and Sadie found a berry patch filled with last year's crowberries and Sadie couldn't get enough! She left with stained coat, stained face and stained fingers! 
Joined the Thursday Epic Run crew for a lovely hike/run up towards McHugh Peak. Some of the group made it to the ridge leading to the peak, while a friend and I made it to just below the ridge. Gorgeous evening, beautiful vistas and good company!

We enjoyed 12 sunny, fun-filled days with our family in southern CA. The cousins played and sang and laughed and joined the rebel forces fighting against Darth Vader. We loved the warmth and the sun and the colors. It was a perfect getaway from AK and a good visit with the Schwartz's. The kids wore Pop-Pop and Grandma out. It was good for all of us to be together.
