THE HALLOWEEN TREE

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

How To Get What You Want

I made Maren a super duper sundae. Two kinds of ice cream, chocolate syrup and REAL whipped cream. When I handed it to her she replied, "Can I have sprinkles?" My initial reply was-this is the perfect sundae, you have plently... " But it just isn't complete without sprinkles Mom." I immediately handed over the sprinkles. I mean come on, could I really serve my first born an incomplete dessert?

Another New Trick

I pick up the phone, hold it to my ear and say "Hi!"
I hand the phone to Sadie, she hugs it to her chest and says, "Uh!"

I just want to be with the big kids

Goodbye Autumn, Hello Winter

Silly Sadie

After an accident on the changing table without her diaper on, I moved naked Sadie onto our bed for a little naked silly time. She started right in with all her tricks...

peek-a-boo

pointing

laughing

climbing

dancing

clapping

hiding

And yes, if you were wondering, she eventually peed on my bed.

Peek-a-boo!
(doesn't quite get hands over eyes yet)

Sunshine

Sadie and I basked in the morning sun in the mountains. We didn't find the cranberries we were looking for, but the sun was just fine.

Lick the Bowl Clean

Sunday Morning in the Mountains

We spent Sunday morning picking blueberries and low bush crans. David hiked with Sadie up to the saddle. We all enjoyed the bright sun, after many days of rain, in our faces.

Wild Yellow Mountain Horse Sighting

"The Wild Yellow Mountain Horse always runs up. This horse eats berries, deer and other horses. The baby only calls its father, the stallion." We rarely see them in Alaska. (and that's straight from the horse's mouth!)
