Gingerbread Village

Maren took a special class at school today all about Gingerbread. The group visited the Captain Cook Hotel to see the Gingerbread Village that was just ompleted last night.

The Head Pastry Chef answered questions and let us tour the kitchen. He starts building it in August! It smelled so good!

Back at school, Maren made her own ginmgerbread man and house. The gingerbread man got eaten immediately and the house followed after dinner.

The sun just came over the mountains as we arrived- about 10:30 AM.

When we pulled out the reindeer antlers this year, we couldn't help but think of Marker.

Sadie is a very willing and able Santa, now that she knows who Santa is!

Ashes is Here!

Ashes, the class guinea pig, is staying with us for awhile.

I let her play with eggshells so I could mop.

She broke them into tiny little pieces.

Then I got to clean it up.
