Powerline Moose Watching

We made the short hike into the valley below Powerline Pass to see the moose chase each other around in hopes of finding a mate. We saw about 5 moose- two bulls and three cows- using our binoculars, checking each other out and chasing each other off.

Last prickly rose blossom of fall.

Ellie and I parked it in a sunny spot...

...Maren played below.

We then hiked down to the creek for a better view of the moose.

Almost 36 week belly.

Wild purple tail deer attacking from behind.
(Maren says deer attack.)
Waving goodbye to our friends, Steve & Noel, way far away and below us.

Panda Rodeo

Nothing like a little rodeo action before breakfast. Today
the pandas took to the saddle and had a real wild west rodeo.
Maren and I enjoyed watching Clara and Half-Pint ride and rope!
