Off to the mountains we go! We hoped for a blueberry extravaganza but instead we found the low-bush cranberry motherlode! It was
another lovely autumn day in the mountains- sun and this time beautiful
fall colors in the trees and ground cover. The kids pretended to be
wild animals and the moms picked and picked and picked.

Mushroom exploration(Maren told me she shouldn't touch a poison mushroom with her hands,
so, like an animal who can use a tool, the kids check out the mushroom up close and personal.)
