We all attended a friend's birthday party Monday night at the Royal Roller Rink. It brought back many memories of skating at our local roller rink On Wheels when I was a kid/teenager. Maren was a little unsteady at first, employing the death grip on David's arm and he dragged her around the rink. She moved slowly at first but began to branch out on her own eventually.
The overhead lights went out, the disco lights came on and Maren and David skated to a little Rick James... She's a Brick House!
Eventually, Maren gave David the boot and told him she wanted to do it herself. "You can go back to mom now dad."
