Last night we surprised Maren with a new bike! Her 12" frame was just too small this year and so we bumped her up to a 16" frame. She has been riding a ton already and we figure this is the year she will go from four wheels to two wheels. She was really surprised!
The first thing she wanted to do was clean the bike up ( it wasn't dirty), so she polished her up real shiny. Then Maren turned to me and her lip just fell. She barely got out the words, " Does this mean I can't ride Susie anymore?" and down came the tears. We explained that she could ride the new bike whenever she was ready and that we thought Susie and the new bike would be great friends.
So out came Susie and the bikes get along just fine!
The bikes slept together in Maren's room and even shared a blanket.
Today we took
Flower Bug out for her first spin.
Sadie peeked out from her cozy bag.
Maren cruised the neighborhood
Flower Bug and Maren are becoming fast friends.
