David, his dad, Pietro and Marco set out for 5 nights floating the Little Su in search of a big bull. They returned late Monday night and the processing began. I had never witnessed the post hunt work and it all unfolded in my backyard. The meat had to be cleaned and hung and treated and then taken to the butcher. 370 pounds of moose will be turned into sausage, steaks and roasts. it was amazing to watch the intensity of preparing for and then breaking down of such a trip. So much work! There were great stories to be heard about the float, the hunt and all the time in between. Bear! A great time was had by all! Maren was amazed with the whole process- "just like fishing Mom!"
