The girls and Charlie and I met David down on Summit Lake for a fall camping trip-Charlie's first.
We explored the area around the campground...
and Charlie thoroughly enjoyed it.
He also figured out how to cozy up in the trailer
(on the sleeping bag, on the bed) right away.
There was late night wizard chess. Maren always wins.
We hiked to beautiful Carter Lake just down the road.
I scored about 2 gallons of high bush cranberries at my lucky cranberry bush. Third year in a row I hit the jackpot here.
Monday morning we paddled across the lake...
...to the lodge for a HUGE breakfast!
The sun and the fall colors on the lake were perfect!
