We had a weekend of blueberry picking up Near Point. Saturday we picked with friends and Sunday we returned for more and found blueberry nirvana. It was a steep, bushy climb up and a slippy, muddy descent, but Maren made it both days without any trouble. We were proud.
She found an old sled in the bushes and had fun summer sledding. Going,
going...
gone.
The winds picked up and so out came the rain fly.
Sadie was in more of and R & R mode.
The gusts of wind actually launched Maren into the air.
Her stomach is scratched and bruised from one too many crash landings.
Then she put two and two together...
I had berries to pick. 33 cups harvested over the two days. There were a lot of berries!
We had two lovely, sunny days of picking and hanging out in the mountains, with friends and as a family. But at the end of our time there today we heard many snarly, nervous huffs from the bushes and we'll let whatever is in there have its space.
