One Last Berry Pick

It was too late. Sadie and I hiked over an hour out to a prime blueberry patch, but the changing seasons beat us and we were left with smushy mushy berries. We saw our first snow and Sadie felt her first cold of the year. After a few mouthfuls of berries, she was done. "I want car!!!"

Here comes the snow!

Meet Mr. Raven...

Maren and David made Mr. Raven yesterday. Sadie was hesitant to meet him and I realized scarecrow has the word scare in it. So did sadie. We now call him cowboy and Sadie likes him.

Mountain Time

Watching clouds roll by
Focus, focus. Yes, blueberry!

JJ "The Cowboy" Ruiz spent a week with us- moose hunting with David and goofing with the girls. Sadie calls him cowboy. I think Maren had her first crush. We LOVED having him here.

First Grade Field Trip

First grade field trip to the mountains!
Picnic lunch and berry picking- PERFECT!
Grandma marched up the trail.
"Even the Grandma made it!"
(She heard someone say that.)

Berry pickers

Intense berry consumer. There was picking involved, but mostly consuming. She actually belly crawled across the ground to the next patch.

Sadie and Eric tag-team on blueberries.
