On the Garage Wall

Sadie, Eva and Jude painted their bodies at Annette's house.
"Do you know whach one is mine Mom?"
Of course, it looks exactly like you!

Indianhouse Loop

Epic run this week- a little botanizing (Mountain Harebell) and A LOT of climbing.

These outings make me really happy.

How many sheep do you see?
We saw lots.

SPECTACULAR scenery.

Lupine

Dazzling.

Pixie-Eye Primrose

Short-Stalk Sedge

Falls Creek headwaters

Heading back down. The wildflower display was outstanding-one of the most colorful I'd ever seen. After a mama grizzly bear and her three cubs were spotted near by, we blew the air horn a few times, we ventured down quickly.

Will the Fairies Come?

Maren made this fairy garden at camp today. She hopes the fairies will come tonight while she sleeps to enjoy it.

I think the fairies ate all the seeds and berries and drank the cream and left some magical fairy dust for Maren.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...

What's for dinner?

Arnold Muldoon Hike

Hike today in Arnold Muldoon Park- a lovely little wooded spot in town with a mellow trail for the little hikers.

Lots of fun exercise equipment to climb on too.

Bunchberries

Buddies

The kids ran from exercise station to station looking for the next "park."

Dewy salmonberry leaves

Fun balance beam action

The Cat is IN the Bag

Russian River Morning

We spent Sunday morning on the Russian River in the rain. Maren was so happy to watch her dad catch a red.

Sadie was happy because I gave her a few jellybeans.

She insists on hiking up all 50 stairs back to the campground!

Dipnet Day

Dipnet day on the Kenai with Steve and Noel.

The boys dipnetted from a little boat and the girls played on the shore.

Happy fishermen.
