Our almost 9-year old spent an extra night at the cabin in Willow without us. She was the captain of her own ship and made her own choice to stay. She manned the paddleboat and the island oasis around the lake with her two young deckhands. "This was one of the best days of my life. I did everything by myself without any adults helping me." Captain Duffy is becoming more independent and capable right before our very eyes.
